In our first session, we’ll get to know each other.
In fact, I recommend that we meet from 1-3 times before we decide if we would like to work with each other.
The best way to figure out what this therapy thing is all about is to experience it for yourself. There is no right way or wrong way to approach your first session. Feel free to come with questions or no questions at all. Feel free to have ideas prepared or to come with no idea about how to begin.
Once we’re in the room together, we can see how things unfold.
As for the basics, I’ll let you know a bit about my policies and procedures and give you a form that you can read over, sign and bring back if we decide to work together.
My fee is $200 per 50 minute session.
I do not take insurance, but I am happy to provide you with a statement at the end of the month that you can turn into your insurance provider. There are some caveats that come with insurance reimbursements, so if you’re thinking that you’d like to use your insurance, let’s talk about this.
If, for whatever reason, we decide not to work with each other, I’ll be happy to give you the name of another therapist based on your individual needs and desires.
